We are going to be stapling the notices to the bags tomorrow night at the meeting Feb 13th. We’ll need many staplers to get this done as we did last year. Please bring one with extra staples if you can. This will be the only opportunity to get this done before we distribute the bags on Thursday Feb 23rd as the nest meeting is an ASM/Leaders meeting.
Please have your young men sign-up for the Scouting for Food Service Projects this Monday.
The dates of the two Projects are as follows:
Distribution of bags to an assigned neighborhood; Saturday Feb 25rd, 9:00am
- Meet in the Simi Covenant Church back Parking lot by our storage bin where Larry will hand out bags and maps.
Pick-up of (hopefully) filled bags; Saturday Mar 3rd, 9:30am
- Meet in the Simi Covenant Church back Parking lot by the Troop storage bin where Larry will hand out maps.
- Return to the Simi Covenant Church Parking lot with the filled bags to be sorted and delivered to the Central collection point, probably the Metro-Link Station. (Location will be known by then)
We should have one driver for every two scouts to make it easier to drop off and pick-up the bags on a street by street basis, so please sign-up Adults. This Service Project needs you too.
